Rappahannock Area Kids On The Block

Formed in 1988, Rappahannock Area Kids on the Block is a program of the Rappahannock Area Community Servies Board and an agency of the Rappahannock United Way. The mission of the RAKOB is to educate the children of Planning District 16 about people with disabilities as well as immportant health and safety issues.

The Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region began formal operations in 1998. Since that time, thousands of donors have contributed through the Community Foundation and have support programs in the Ars, Health, Education, Economic, and Community Development areas. The Foundation serves the City of Fredericksburg and the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, and Stafford.
